What condition are the parts in?

The parts range in condition from mint and unplayed to worn. I will always give you the best parts I have available unless you tell me that your set is played and worn OR if you want to match the color of your set, as described below. I will let you know in advance if there are any issues with the parts I have available.

One thing to be aware of is that the colors vary substantially in hue and saturation between different printings of Magic Realm, so even if you receive unplayed pieces, they may not match your set (this is particularly noticeable with board tiles). Also, I cannot guarantee that the various pieces you receive will match, as there is a very limited supply. If your pieces look fairly light or dark, let me know and if I have a choice of colors, I'll send you the closest thing. Also note, many pieces were printed off-center or have a thin strip of a different color at the bottom edge of the back (alerted side), from printing alignment problems. This is so common it is not noted on the list.

How can I figure out which parts I am missing?

The parts list includes all the pieces in the game, even if they are currently out of stock. There is only one of most parts; however, if there is more than one in a complete set, you will see a number in parentheses after the part name, like this: T Dragons (2). That indicates that you should have 2 T Dragons in your set.

The game itself also provides some resources for figuring out what is missing. The Setup Card indicates how many of each item should be in each box, and one good way to tell what counters you are missing is to follow the directions for setting up the game. In addition, the character cards list the combat chits that each character should have. Most of the counters are pictured in the rulebook or on the setup card. Once you've checked out these things, please ask if you still have questions.

What if you don't have the part I need?

Let me know - it's possible we can make some kind of substitution. For example, if you need a Medium Bow, and all I have are Light Bows, I could send you one of those and you could mark an M on it.  Not perfect, but definitely better than nothing. I also know of a lot of on-line resources with game images, and I have bitmaps of most of the game pieces, so you could make your own if necessary. You can put any questions like this you have in the Order Form, or just send me an e-mail.

How many parts can I ask for?

Because parts for this game are becoming so scarce, and I want as many people play as possible, generally each person may request no more than 30 parts. My goal is to help the player who buys a set on e-Bay or a local gaming store believing it would be complete as advertised, but finds that pieces are missing.  If this happened to you, you are not alone.  If you know of anyone with pieces floating around or a very partial set, please send them my way. That way I can keep this going as long as possible.

UPDATE: I have received a LOT of extra parts lately, many in great condition, from players leaving the game. I have not had time to catalog all of them and add them to the list of parts. Please ask if you need more parts than the above for your own use, as I may likely be able to help.

How much do they cost?

If you are a player, I figure you have already paid for your game (especially at today's exorbitant collector's prices), and the pieces will be sent to you FREE OF CHARGE. Yes, I even cover the postage, no matter where you live, including international shipping (airmail). It doesn't cost that much to send them out, and collecting money would be way too much of a hassle. You can pay me back by joining our on-line games, and/or sending me any extra parts you know of. Or just by having fun :)

If you are a retailer, or are otherwise planning to sell your game, you will receive a significantly higher price by having your game set be complete. In that case, I do request a minimal fee for the pieces. The fees are based on the size and condition of the part, and are listed below. Also add $1 for shipping, regardless of location or the number of parts. After filling out the order form, you will be directed to a page where you can pay by PayPal, or send me a check in advance. All prices are in US$.

Large Parts: Setup cards, board tiles, rulebooks, and character cards - EX $3, GD $2, PR $1
Small Parts: Everything else - EX $0.50, GD $0.30, PR $0.10

How do I order?

Read through the parts list, making a list of any parts you want and being sure to record the condition as well as the part name. If you don't specify the condition, I will just send you the best one I have. If you are a retailer, keep track of the part names, conditions, and prices, because you will need that information when you fill out the order form. Since I don't usually charge for parts, I don't have an expensive shopping cart system, and you will have to type a list in the order form.

When you have a list of what you want, go to the Order Form page and fill the form out completely. All fields are required, but all information will be discarded as soon as I send out your order. You will never get any advertising or other unsolicited communication from me.  When you have successfully submitted an order, you will be directed to the "Thank You" page, which will let you know that everything worked properly. You should also hear back from me within a day or so, confirming your order and letting you know when your parts will be sent out.  That's it!
